Frank Lampard has named his chosen standout player at Chelsea since his return to Stamford Bridge.

During a press conference ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Brighton, Frank Lampard revealed his standout player since returning to Stamford Bridge.

The Englishman named Enzo Fernandez, the January signing, as the standout player at Chelsea.

While there are reports of the Argentine’s contract being extended until 2032, Lampard stated that he is not concerned about player contracts at the moment. Enzo Fernandez has been impressive since his record-breaking £107m move from Benfica during the January transfer window.

Lampard spoke highly of Fernandez, stating that he has been a standout player for him in the last week in terms of attitude and quality, despite only being at the club for a short time.

Lampard also mentioned that Fernandez is a fantastic player for Chelsea. However, he was unable to confirm the contract speculation.

“The only thing I can say is that from working with Enzo he has been a standout character and player for me in this last week in terms of his attitude and quality.

“Even though he’s only been here a short time, I think he’s a fantastic player for this club…”
